The best non-fiction of this year so far for me is "Chaos: Making a New Science" by James Gleick. It's quite old and I'm sure that since its first publication date, a lot has happened in chaos theory, but this is a great history of science full of aha-moments - a great introduction to chaos theory for curious amateurs like me, and even a whole constellation of starting points for a deep dive.
